RC Baja Drivetrain and Steering

Introduction

The RC Baja project is a used in the RC Baja challenges. The RC Baja challenges include a slalom and sprint event as well as the baja event. Each event tests different aspects of the constructed RC Baja vehicle. The goal of this project is to compete in the RC Baja event. The drivetrain of the car will move the vehicle backwards and forwards by a brushless motor turning the rear wheels of the RC Baja car. The steering components will turn the vehicle left and right 60 degrees by the use of a steering servo

The table above shows the results of each test and if the results met the design requirements created early on in the project's lifecycle. The tests are accurate and precise due to the use of three trials for each test. The results are valid and representative due to the use of videoing to ensure the data is accurately collected. The results are relevant to the success of the project as the tests determined if the design requirements were met. If most of them were met, this would deem the project a success. The requirements for the car were all tested and were successful besides the top speed test. Therefore, the RC Baja project was a success.
